Arrest request for the lawyer of IMM Medya A.Ş. Chairman of the Board Murat Ongun
Serkan Günel, the lawyer for IMM Medya A.Ş. Chairman of the Board Murat Ongun, and lawyer Kazım Yiğit Akalın have been referred to the duty magistrate with a request for their arrest on charges of 'attempting to influence the judiciary' and 'violating the confidentiality of an investigation.'

The investigation into corruption allegations concerning the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) and its suspended, imprisoned mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu continues.
Serkan Günel, the lawyer for IMM Medya A.Ş. Chairman of the Board Murat Ongun, who is among the suspects in the investigation, had been detained on charges of 'attempting to influence the judiciary' and 'violating the confidentiality of an investigation.' It was also learned that lawyer Kazım Yiğit Akalın had been detained on the same charges.
The suspects, whose procedures were completed, were transferred to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan. After giving their statements to the Prosecutor's Office, the suspects were then brought before the duty magistrate with a request for their arrest on the same charges.
