Arrest warrant had been issued: First statement from Enes Batur

YouTuber Enes Batur, for whom an arrest warrant was issued as part of a drug investigation conducted in Istanbul, has made a statement via social media.

A major investigation into drug trafficking and use has been launched under the coordination of the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The operation targeted social media influencers, musicians, and comedians.

During the dawn raid conducted yesterday, 11 people, including famous comedian Hasan Can Kaya, popular singer Reynmen (Yusuf Aktaş), and rap musician Emirhan Çakal, were detained. However, these individuals were later released.

STATEMENT FROM ENES BATUR

Following the arrest warrant issued against him as a result of the operation, YouTuber Enes Batur made a statement on social media, expressing that he has no connection to the drug investigation. Stating that he has been abroad for approximately 25 days to produce content, Batur made the following statement:

“I do not have clear information as to whether this is an investigation that concerns me. I am abroad for video shoots, and at the end of this process, I will provide the necessary cooperation within the legal framework in my country. I request that misleading and unverified information not be given credence.”
