Arrest warrant requested for Rıza Akpolat and 31 others

31 people, including Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat, have been referred to the magistrate with a request for their arrest.

An arrest warrant has been requested for Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat and 31 of the 47 detained Beşiktaş Municipality employees.

39 people, including Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat, who are alleged to have manipulated tender processes by bribing municipal officials, were referred to the Istanbul Courthouse this morning following four days of detention as part of an investigation into a criminal organization allegedly led by Aziz İhsan Aktaş.

The prosecutor's office also requested judicial control measures for 8 suspects.

The investigation continues as the statements of the suspects, who were detained along with the 39 individuals, have begun to be taken.

THEY HAD BEEN GIVING STATEMENTS SINCE 10.30 AM

The statement-taking process, which began at 10.30 am, lasted approximately 10 hours. The process was conducted by the Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor and 9 public prosecutors.

Following their statements at the prosecutor's office, Akpolat and 31 others were referred to the duty criminal judgeship of peace on charges of aiding a criminal organization allegedly led by Aziz İhsan Aktaş. The prosecutor's office requested the arrest of Akpolat and the 31 individuals.
