It has been learned that Burak Soylu, who was arrested as part of an illegal betting investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, has been released from prison. Soylu was known to the public for his correspondence with AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
According to Halk TV, it has emerged that a release decision was issued for Soylu, who had been arrested after being taken into custody within the scope of the investigation.
Soylu had been sent to prison on January 21 after being arrested by the Criminal Court of Peace on charges of money laundering and establishing a criminal organization.
