The role of artificial intelligence in our lives is expanding rapidly. In this context, the government has taken a striking step. With a decision published in the Official Gazette, an Artificial Intelligence Research Commission has been established in the TBMM. 

The decision of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) regarding the selection of members for the Parliamentary Research Commission, which was established to determine the steps to be taken regarding the benefits of artificial intelligence, to create a legal infrastructure in this field, and to determine measures to prevent the risks associated with the use of artificial intelligence, has been published in the Official Gazette.

WHO IS ON THE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE COMMISSION? 

Accordingly, the commission chair is AKP Eskişehir Deputy Fatih Dönmez, the deputy chair is AKP Ankara Deputy Jülide Sarıeroğlu, the commission spokesperson is AKP Istanbul Deputy Büşra Peker, and the commission secretary is MHP Mersin Deputy Levent Uysal.

The members of the Research Commission are as follows: AKP Deputies Lütfiye Selva Çam, Zeynep Yıldız, Mehmet Ali Çelebi, Ayşe Böhürler, Selman Özboyacı, Şahin Tin, Cahit Özkan.
