MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's call for PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan during his party's group meeting—stating, "If the isolation is lifted, let him come and speak in Parliament"—has become the center of public debate.
As the controversy surrounding the call, which drew public backlash, continues, MHP Deputy Chairman İzzet Ulvi Yönter made a noteworthy post.
Yönter shared a photo on his social media account featuring himself with MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli and Deputy Chairman Semih Yalçın, in which they are seen with firearms.
Yönter did not include any message with his post.

IT WAS ALSO SHARED 4 MONTHS AGO
On the other hand, the photo in question, taken while Yönter and Yalçın were gifting a firearm to Bahçeli, was shared 4 months ago by MHP Central Executive Committee (MYK) member İzzet Gören.
Gören had shared the photo in response to criticisms directed at MHP Deputy Chairmen İzzet Ulvi Yönter and Semih Yalçın by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel.
The post included the following statements: "The CHP chairman keeps throwing stones at our fortress walls. The two people he systematically and deliberately accuses and attacks are my dear fellow idealists and respected figures of our party. Our leader, Devlet Bahçeli."

ÇAKICI AND YILMAZ HAD EXPRESSED SUPPORT FOR BAHÇELİ
Following Bahçeli's Öcalan call, which dominated the agenda, organized crime leader Alaattin Çakıcı visited the MHP Headquarters to meet with Bahçeli.
Neither side made a statement regarding the content of the meeting.
Organized crime leader Kürşad Yılmaz, who was released from prison in 2021 for 'security' reasons, also stated that he stood with Bahçeli.
Claiming that Devlet Bahçeli is 'setting a game,' Yılmaz said, "Not for a day, not for a moment, not even for a second will we leave him alone; if necessary, we will take lives and give lives."
