Ferhat Pakdil, a 54-year-old classroom teacher working at Mimar Sinan Primary School in the Onikişubat district, allegedly warned a student who was misbehaving at school. Angered by the situation, the family went to the front of the school to speak with the teacher.

The husband and wife began assaulting teacher Ferhat Pakdil as soon as they saw him. The teacher, who suffered a broken wrist and head injuries as a result of the assault, was kept under observation in the hospital for one day.

Teacher Pakdil has filed a criminal complaint against the couple who assaulted him.

Making a statement regarding the incident, teacher Pakdil said, “I came to school on Tuesday to attend class and parked my car. The individuals were waiting right above; I do not know them.

Suddenly, the man's wife first attempted to assault me, and while I was trying to defend myself, the husband joined the attack. He punched me in the head 4-5 times, and I fell to the ground.

When I saw blood coming from my face, I got into my car by reflex and decided to head to the hospital. Our assistant principal arrived, and we went to the hospital together. We received our medical report and filed a complaint. I should not be here today; I should have been at school,” he said.

“WE CAN SOLVE OUR PROBLEMS WITH OUR BRAINS AND LANGUAGE”

Stating that he condemns the violence against teachers, Pakdil said, “We can solve all our problems with the brain and language that God has given us. As long as we use them.

When we use them, believe me, neither violence nor anything else—all forms of violence are not pleasant at all. We can solve this by talking. Right now, my 23 students are in a difficult situation.

They went to other classrooms, and our other teacher colleagues are taking care of them, but I should have been there with them,” he said.
