A press statement has been issued by the Isparta Governor's Office regarding the incident in which social media phenomenon Ayhan Koç, known by the nickname Benekli Ayhan, was assaulted in Isparta.
The statement read, "It has been determined that the incident in question occurred on 15.10.2023 in the Bahçelievler neighborhood of the Isparta city center, and that there were no applications or complaints filed with our security units regarding the matter. It was determined that A.K. and the 2 women who were with him during the incident traveled to Burdur by commercial taxi at approximately 03:30, and that A.K. departed from there toward Ankara by bus at approximately 13:00. There is no hospital admission record for A.K. following the incident. The identities of 2 suspects involved in the incident have been determined, and judicial proceedings have been initiated against them. Respectfully announced to the public."

WHAT HAPPENED?
The incident took place last night in front of an entertainment venue on Istanbul Street. According to the information obtained, an argument broke out for an unknown reason between two groups, including social media phenomenon Ayhan Koç, known as "Benekli Ayhan." After the argument turned into a fight, the moments when two people assaulted Ayhan Koç for minutes were captured on a mobile phone camera. In the fight, where kicks and punches were thrown, Ayhan Koç lost consciousness due to the blows he received. It did not go unnoticed in the footage that two women tried to break up the fight.
HIS LAWYER HAD MADE A STATEMENT: WE FILED A MISSING PERSON REPORT
Following the footage of the incident appearing on social media, Şahin Polat, who identified himself as the lawyer for Ayhan Koç's family, stated that they had not been able to reach Koç for 24 hours and had filed a missing person report.
Lawyer Şahin Polat stated the following;
"I am the lawyer for Benekli Ayhan Koç's family. We have not received any news for 24 hours. We have filed a missing person report. Those who have information can reach us at +905050157258.
We spoke with our brother who saw Koç after the incident and confirmed it; we believe he is not in life-threatening danger, and there is no hospital record. The police are currently investigating. I hope we reach him soon."
