Gökhan Böcek, the son of the detained Antalya Metropolitan Mayor Muhittin Böcek, gave testimony under the scope of 'effective remorse' and changed the agenda.

Following these statements by Böcek, a noteworthy assessment came from AKP member Tayyar.

Şamil Tayyar's assessment on how Gökhan Böcek's confession will affect the CHP is as follows:

How will Gökhan Böcek’s confession affect politics, and in a narrow sense, the CHP?

According to his claim;

He took the 1 million Euros requested by Veli Ağbaba, upon the instructions of Özgür Özel, to the headquarters in a backpack.

It is rumored that father Muhittin Böcek will also become a confessor; if he becomes a confessor and confirms this claim, the process will become even more difficult for Özel and Ağbaba.

There is a high probability that the testimony of Özkan Yalım, who has applied for effective remorse, will also reveal a confession that payments were made to the Özel/Ağbaba duo for candidacy.

It is legally impossible for this confession or chain of confessions to turn into a lawsuit against Özel and Ağbaba due to their parliamentary immunity.

If a summary of proceedings (fezleke) arrives for the lifting of immunities, I do not think the parliament will process it.

Just as it hasn't until now.

If Özel and Ağbaba resign from their parliamentary seats and want to give testimony, things will change.

I don't think that will happen.

If a decision of absolute nullity is issued and Özel leaves the chairmanship, then immunity might perhaps come to the agenda.

Or the Kılıçdaroğlu administration could initiate an expulsion process.

In short.

Even if immunity provides an advantage, it is clear that a period that is difficult to explain politically has begun for Özel.

And the hourglass is working against Özel.
