Atatürkist Thought Association reacts to commission report: 'A 53-page document of shame'

The joint report of the 'Terror-Free Turkey Commission' established in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) has been approved. The Atatürkist Thought Association (ADD) did not delay its reaction to the report in question and published a declaration titled 'Our Motto is One and Unchangeable: Independence or Death!'

The declaration touched upon the international agenda and the fact that the entire world is under threat: "Following Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Sudan, Somalia, Yemen, and Syria, the aggression of Trump's USA—which is now occurring in Venezuela, extending through Greenland toward Denmark and Continental Europe, and encompassing Canada, Mexico, and finally Iran—is threatening the entire world by declaring that it does not recognize international law and institutions."

'A 53-PAGE DOCUMENT OF SHAME'

Regarding the second 'opening' process in Turkey, the declaration stated: "While this is the case, when one looks at the dire situation—the poor trajectory in every field, especially the economy, education, and health that has devastated our nation in recent times; the dramatic foreign policy errors; the boundless nepotism and corruption; the rot of 'we are not ashamed, we are proud'; the pitiful state of our Blue Homeland sovereignty and our land borders; the Pope's visit; Barzani's 'bordo bereli' (maroon beret) show in Cizre; the search for a new constitution; the insolence of DEM spokespeople saying 'Whatever Sheikh Said and Seyit Rıza did, the Kurdish people will do the same'; the nonsense of terrorists like Bese Hozat and Amed Malazgirt; the brazen impositions of the terrorist leader; and the impudent statements of the US Ambassador, who looks like a colonial governor—and finally, the 53-page 'Document of Shame' called the Commission Report, which was announced to have been accepted with 47 votes and is coated with sweeteners like 'brotherhood, peace, and democracy,' which could lead to a devastating perception that our state has accepted the conditions of the treacherous terrorist organization that acts as a subcontractor for imperialism because it cannot cope with it, it is impossible not to see that the picture is grave."

'TO RECREATE THE ATATÜRK REPUBLIC, A STATE OF LAW BASED ON THE EQUALITY OF CITIZENS'

At the end of the declaration text shared via its X account, the ADD once again warned all institutions, organizations, and individuals who govern or aspire to govern Turkey, stating that they expect them to perform their duties by recognizing:

* The indispensability of our unitary nation-state structure, our Secular Republic, our linguistic unity, our indivisible integrity with our country and nation, and our consciousness of being a nation,

* The indisputability of the definition of the nation and the concept of 'Turkishness,' which is expressed in Atatürk's sentence, 'The people of Turkey who founded the Republic of Turkey are called the Turkish Nation,' and which is also decreed by Article 66 of our Constitution,

* That the 'Atatürkist Thought System,' the founding philosophy of our Republic, whose success is proven in every field with its policies, practices, and works, is the unerring compass and valid prescription of today,

* That our nation will never agree to be subjects of a medieval-remnant, totalitarian-theocratic satellite state under the yoke of imperialism, rather than free citizens of a Democratic, Secular, and Social State of Law,

* That what is required is to recreate the Atatürk Republic, a state of law based on the equality of citizens, based on the separation of powers, and parliament-centered, as it was at its founding."

'WHAT IS NOT IN THE COMMISSION REPORT?'

ADD Chairman Mustafa Hüsnü Bozkurt brought the report in question to the agenda on ADD TV screens. Bozkurt said, "'Kurdish issue, Kurdish issue, Kurdish issue'—there is no definition of what it is in this report. What is this 'Kurdish issue'? What will we do to solve this issue?

There is not a single article in the commission report regarding the disgrace of child brides!

There is not a single article regarding land reform, land ownership, or the sharecropping system!

There is not a single article regarding the drug barons disguised as tribal leaders in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia who profit from the drug trade! There is no article protecting the rights that women have gained from the Turkish Civil Code and the laws of the Republic!

Wasn't this report supposed to strengthen democratic life? Is what you understand from democratic life to satisfy the agendas of the leaders of the terrorist organization called the PKK and their extensions in parliament? Do you have no other concerns?"
