Protests continue following the detention and arrest of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu. Thousands of people have been detained, and many young people have been arrested.
While some famous figures remain silent, others are openly expressing their reactions.
Singer Atilla Taş, in posts on his X account, directed criticism first at comedian Cem Yılmaz and then at artist Haluk Levent.
Taş used the following expressions for Yılmaz: 'Still playing dead, teacher? If you want to be valued, be Cem Yılmaz's broken desk lamp!'
For Levent, he shared these words: 'Are you alive, man? Mr. Haluk, who dives headfirst into every good deed, is blind and deaf to the young people getting beaten up because there's no money in it! There are children blinded by plastic bullets! Are you too scared to speak up, man!'
