Attack on Cübbeli Ahmet in İkitelli: He used profanity

Ahmet Mahmut Ünlü, known publicly as Cübbeli Ahmet, was attacked by an individual from a crowd while walking toward his car after leaving a talk in the İkitelli district of Istanbul.

Ünlü, who was attacked by someone who suddenly stepped forward from the crowd while he was walking to his car after the talk, was rescued following the intervention of those nearby.

The attacker grabbed Ünlü by the throat and used severe profanity.

The individual, who was neutralized after being intervened by Ünlü's bodyguards, was handed over to the police.

The following statement was shared on Ünlü's social media account regarding the attack:

"While leaving after giving a talk at an association in the İkitelli area, he was attacked by someone in the dark who grabbed him by the throat and attempted to assault him with obscene profanity while the crowd of followers was asking for prayers.

The Hocaefendi was rescued through the emergency intervention of his bodyguards. The individual was apprehended by the police teams present at the scene and an investigation has been launched."

The suspect who attempted to assault Ahmet Mahmut Ünlü, known publicly as "Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca," as he was leaving an association in Başakşehir, has been taken into custody.

According to the information received, the suspect, identified as A.A., approached Ünlü from within the crowd as he was leaving an association in İkitelli and attempted to grab him by the throat.

Ünlü's bodyguards and those nearby, who noticed the situation, intervened against the suspect.

The suspect, A.A., was taken into custody by police teams and brought to the police station.
