It has been learned that singer İrem Derici was attacked in the Netherlands ahead of the Ajax-Galatasaray match played in the 4th week of the UEFA Champions League.

Derici, who traveled to the Netherlands with her DJ fiancé Melih Kunukçu to support her team, announced the incident through a post on her social media account.

“A FEW THUGS CAME AT US”

Regarding the attack she experienced, Derici began her statement by saying, "I came for the match but couldn't go; I just sat in my room and cried," and continued with the following remarks:

"A few thugs came at us in a disgusting way. I mean, we stood our ground to defend ourselves. Just when we thought the matter was closed, the police started following us. They kept coming after Melih. I made a fool of myself trying to diffuse the situation. They told us, 'Go to your room, don't come out tonight,' and so on. I was, of course, like the paralyzed Ali Rıza Bey scene... I am still hurt and very sad. It was all so unnecessary."

In the continuation of her statement, the famous singer mentioned that she suffered physical harm and shared the following words:

"Melih went down later and became buddies with the police, explained the truth of the incident, but I was already a wreck. Of course, during the scuffle, my nails were broken down to the root, and my hands are throbbing."
