Attack on Turkish flag by terrorist organization sympathizers: 35 people arrested

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç has issued a statement regarding the heinous attack on the Turkish flag by terrorist organization sympathizers along the Nusaybin-Qamishli border line.

Minister Tunç stated, "I condemn the vile attempt against our flag carried out by terrorist organization sympathizers on the Mardin Nusaybin–Qamishli border line." Regarding the incidents, Minister Tunç reported that legal proceedings have been initiated against 356 people, and 35 individuals have been arrested.

Sharing on his social media account, Minister Tunç used the following expressions:

"I condemn the vile attempt against our flag carried out by terrorist organization sympathizers on the Mardin Nusaybin–Qamishli border line.

A judicial investigation has been initiated by our Mardin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding this heinous incident.

On the other hand, investigations by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices are ongoing regarding the actions carried out in our country under the pretext of the clashes between Government forces and the SDG/YPG terrorist organization in the Syrian city of Aleppo.

In this context, investigations have been conducted into 356 suspects, 35 suspects have been arrested, judicial control measures have been applied to 45 suspects, and the detention procedures for 77 people are continuing.

No attack or provocation directed at our state's sovereignty and our social peace will go unpunished."
