The program was attended by President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, DEM Party Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan, Felicity Party Chairman Mahmut Arıkan, MHP Deputy Speaker of Parliament Celal Adan on behalf of MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, DEM Party Imralı Delegation member and Deputy Speaker of Parliament Pervin Buldan, Free Cause Party (HÜDA PAR) Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu, and former Parliament Speakers.
İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu, who announced that he would not attend the iftar program organized by Kurtulmuş, held a separate iftar with his staff and his party's members of parliament at the Parliament Garden Restaurant. CHP Chairman Özgür Özel had announced that he would be at Sincan Prison due to the arrest and suspension of Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan, and therefore would not attend the invitation.
ÖZGÜR ÖZEL AND BAHÇELİ WERE NOT AT THE IFTAR PROGRAM
MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, a partner in the People's Alliance, could not attend the program due to another engagement. Özgür Özel had stated at his party's group meeting held today that he would not attend Kurtulmuş's iftar invitation, saying, "By God, we were going to attend. Since a national stance is required, they have brandished their axes again! This evening, I will go to Sincan Prison to be with Tanju for iftar!"
