Attention, holders of old-style driver's licenses!

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced that the renewal period for old-style driver's licenses has been extended.

Announcing the decision on his social media account, Yerlikaya stated the following:

''We have extended the renewal period for old-style driver's licenses.

In accordance with the provisional Article 10 of the Highway Traffic Regulation, the period determined for the renewal of old-style driver's licenses has been extended until July 31, 2025, taking into account current conditions and the needs of our citizens.

Currently, there are 5 million 413 thousand 148 old-style driver's licenses in circulation.

In order to prevent potential congestion at population directorates and health institutions where medical reports are issued, and to ensure our citizens can complete their transactions without any inconvenience, please renew our old driver's licenses before the end of the extended period.''
