Attention holiday travelers: Which bridges and highways will be free during Eid al-Adha?
Bridges and highways under the responsibility of the General Directorate of Highways (KGM) will be free of charge during the Eid al-Adha holiday. The decision regarding the matter has been published in the Official Gazette.

Due to the Eid al-Adha holiday, tolls will not be collected on highways and bridges under the responsibility of the General Directorate of Highways (KGM); however, the decision does not cover build-operate-transfer projects.
The Presidential Decree regarding the determination of those who will benefit from certain goods and services produced by public institutions and organizations free of charge or at a discount has been published in the Official Gazette and has entered into force.
Accordingly, due to the holiday, crossings on highways under the responsibility of the KGM, as well as the 15 July Martyrs Bridge and the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, will be free of charge starting from 00.00 on Saturday, June 15 (the night connecting Friday to Saturday) until 07.00 on Monday, June 24. Build-operate-transfer projects have been excluded from the free passage application.
URBAN PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SERVICES ARE FREE DURING THE HOLIDAY
Citizens will be able to benefit from Başkentray, Marmaray, İZBAN, the Sirkeci-Kazlıçeşme Rail System Line, the Gayrettepe-Istanbul Airport-Arnavutköy metro line services, as well as public transportation services operated by municipalities and the unions, institutions, and enterprises established by them, free of charge from 00.00 on Sunday, June 16 (the night connecting Saturday to Sunday) until the end of the day on Wednesday, June 19 (throughout Eid al-Adha).
