Attention Istanbul residents: These roads will be closed to traffic tomorrow

Some roads in Istanbul will be closed to traffic tomorrow as part of the International Cycling Race and the October 29 Republic Day events. The Istanbul Governor's Office has issued a statement regarding the alternative routes.

According to the statement from the Governor's Office, roads to be closed to traffic and alternative routes have been determined for the rehearsal taking place tomorrow on Vatan Street and until the end of the program on the day of the ceremony, as part of the "Tour de France, L'etape By Tour de France International Cycling Race" and the "101st Anniversary Celebrations of the October 29 Republic Day."

The roads that will be closed to traffic tomorrow from 06:00 to 14:00 due to the cycling race are listed as follows:

"Küçüksu Street, Cuma Yolu Street, Körfez Street, Mehmet Ali Birand Street, Okul Street, Fatih Sultan Mehmet Street, Orhan Veli Kanık Street, Nazım Street, Hekimbaşı Çiftlik Street, Göksu Street, Atatürk Street, Cumhuriyet Street, Çengeldere Street, Polonezköy Road, Seyri Street, Ayazma Street, Trabzon Street, Seniye İsmail Hanım Street, Meraşal Mustafa Kemal Street, Meftun Street, Şehit Levent Birgen Street, Şehit Mehmet Ali Şener Street, Riva Street, Paşabahçe Polonezköy Road, New Riva Road, Kavacık Junction, Mihrişah Valide Sultan Street."

Citizens are advised to use the direction of the Observatory from Kandilli Pier Street, the direction of Yavuztürk Street from Dereboyu Street, the direction of Dedeoğlu Street from Çubuklu Şehit Ersin Güner Street, Dr. Ömer Besim Street, Nişangah Street, and Göksu Otağtepe Street instead.

The roads that will be closed for the race from 08:00 until the end of the program are the TEM Highway South Maslak exit, TEM South Maslak side road, TEM South Etiler entrance, and TEM North Kavacık exits.

In contrast, traffic coming from the TEM Highway South will be directed to the TEM North and Büyükdere Street direction via the Maslak side road. Traffic coming to the South Etiler entrance will be directed to Büyükdere Street through Etiler, and traffic coming to the TEM North Kavacık exits will be directed to the bridge direction via the TEM North transit.

SOME ROADS WILL BE CLOSED TO TRAFFIC FOR REPUBLIC DAY EVENTS

As part of the Republic Day events, Adnan Menderes Boulevard (Vatan Street) and all roads leading to it will be closed to traffic from appropriate points starting at 06:00 tomorrow for the rehearsal and on the day of the October 29 ceremony until the end of the program.

Vehicles parked on Adnan Menderes Boulevard and its side roads will be removed starting from 22:00 tonight until the rehearsal ends tomorrow.

Citizens will be able to use Turgut Özal Boulevard (Millet Street) and Fevzipaşa Street as alternatives.
