Attention online shoppers: The era of free shipping has ended
With a regulation published in the Official Gazette, the era of free shipping for online purchases from abroad will end as of December 27. Even if the seller does not charge any fee for the delivery of the product, 3 euros will be added to the price of the product under the name of 'equivalent freight cost'. Thus, the customs exemption will effectively drop to 27 euros.

THE ERA OF FREE SHIPPING IS ENDING
With a regulation published in today's Official Gazette, an amendment was made to the Ministry of Trade's Circular No. 2022/9 dated 29.04.2022.
Accordingly, as of December 27, it has become mandatory to show the price actually paid or to be paid for the goods and the freight cost separately on the invoices of products purchased from abroad and brought in via mail or cargo.
With this circular, which will be effective from December 27, the 'free shipping' era for purchases made from abroad has technically come to an end.
