Autumn has arrived in Turkey: Meteorology issues rain and flood warnings for 11 provinces
Heavy rainfall, lightning, and hail are expected in many provinces from Istanbul to Bursa, and from Ankara to Eskişehir. The General Directorate of Meteorology has warned citizens against flash floods and inundation.

The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a warning for heavy rainfall in the northern, central, and western regions of Turkey. Partly to very cloudy weather will prevail across the northern, central, and western parts of the country. Showers and thunderstorms are expected in the eastern Marmara, inner Aegean, Western Mediterranean, northern Central Anatolia, Western and Central Black Sea regions, the coastal areas of the Eastern Black Sea, as well as the surroundings of Kars and Ardahan. The weather will be clear and slightly cloudy in other regions.
Air temperatures are expected to remain above seasonal norms. The wind will generally blow from northern directions, while it will be moderately strong at times in the southeastern parts.
RAINFALL TO REACH UP TO 50 KG
According to the warnings from the Meteorology office, heavy rainfall is expected in the afternoon, particularly in the provinces of Kocaeli, Sakarya, Yalova, Bursa, Bilecik, Kütahya, Afyonkarahisar, Düzce, Eskişehir, Yozgat, and Çorum. Local rainfall between 21-50 kg/m² is forecast for these regions. Therefore, adverse weather conditions such as flash floods, inundation, lightning, local hail, and strong winds are likely.
The Meteorology office has warned citizens in these regions to be cautious, urging them to take precautions, especially regarding traffic safety and potential flooding.
