Talent manager Ayşe Barım, owner of ID İletişim, who has been in the spotlight over allegations of monopolization in the film industry, had been arrested as part of the Gezi Park investigation on the grounds that she was a "planner."

According to journalist Ceylan Sever, Ayşe Barım's lawyer appealed the Criminal Judgeship of Peace's detention decision by taking it to the higher court, the Criminal Court of First Instance. The Criminal Court of First Instance found the appeal justified and ordered Barım's release.

Following this, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office filed a rapid appeal against the decision.

This time, the file went to the Assize Court, which is the higher court above the Criminal Court of First Instance.

The Assize Court also found the prosecutor's office to be in the right and ordered Barım's re-arrest.

Ayşe Barım was thus re-arrested before she could leave prison.
