Bahar Feyzan, who called Kılıçdaroğlu 'sectarian', apologizes to Alevis

Journalist Bahar Feyzan used the following expressions regarding Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu: "Were you unable to turn the party into a sectarian party, and is your desire left unfulfilled? Did the CHP, which assigns duties regardless of faith, bother you compared to the CHP where those who were not Alevi could not take office?" Following the backlash, Feyzan apologized to Alevi citizens.

The 7th Chairman of the CHP, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, stated in an interview he gave recently: "If there is a failure in the local elections, we will sit down and discuss it. The candidate determination process could have been healthier. My opinion was not asked during this process."

Journalist Bahar Feyzan reacted to these words from Kılıçdaroğlu.

Feyzan, who told Kılıçdaroğlu to "get off the backs of Turkey and the CHP," said in a post on her X (Twitter) account: "In what capacity? Were you unable to turn the party into a sectarian party, and is your desire left unfulfilled? Did the CHP, which assigns duties regardless of faith, bother you compared to the CHP where those who were not Alevi could not take office? It seems the shame of going down in history as the darkest and most shameless former chairman in the history of Turkish politics is not enough for you... Get off the backs of Turkey and the CHP."

SUCCESSIVE REACTIONS FROM CHP FIGURES

CHP Group Deputy Chairman Gökhan Günaydın responded to this post by Feyzan.

Quoting Feyzan's post, Günaydın stated: "All chairmen of the CHP are respected. Accusations directed at our former chairman Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu that exceed the limits of criticism and constitute an open attack are unacceptable. The egalitarian and inclusive nature of the CHP, the founding party of Turkey, will be continuous from the past to the future."

CHP Kahramanmaraş Deputy Ali Öztunç told Feyzan: "As CHP members, we return your insults directed at our former chairman to you."

Öztunç included the following statements in his post:

"A divisive attitude that drags society into hatred and enmity. This country is in this state because of fascists and racists like you. It is clear that this opinion is not only yours but also that of your boss who funds you. As CHP members, we return your insults directed at our former chairman to you."

APOLOGIZED AFTER THE BACKLASH

In a statement she made following the reactions directed at her on social media, Feyzan apologized to Alevi citizens.

Feyzan's post is as follows:

"I will write very clearly. I have no issue with anyone's sect or any other situation. My issue is with Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's policies and politics.

But their desire is to escalate the debate from here and return by causing their own party to lose Istanbul.

For this, they are calling everywhere and intimidating people.

My conscience is clear, I am standing tall against them.

Just as I exposed their true colors in the last election, I am following them very closely in this election as well.

However, if there are those who misunderstood the sect issue in the statement; regardless of this issue, I kiss their hearts. If their feelings were hurt even in the slightest, I apologize.

Let them know this; I will continue to stand tall to the end against Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu returning by deceiving the public."
