Bahattin Yücel: Turkey is at the most critical crossroads in the history of the Republic
Former Minister of Culture and Tourism Bahattin Yücel made striking assessments regarding Turkey's political future. Arguing that the country is passing through one of the most critical turning points since the proclamation of the Republic, Yücel claimed that current political developments are targeting Turkey's unitary structure and its secular understanding of the Republic.

According to Yücel, there is a project being implemented to transform Turkey into a federal structure that centers on Sunni Islamic ideology and consists of Turkish, Kurdish, and Arab ethnic identities.
Claiming that various political maneuvers have been put into play to prepare public opinion in this direction, Yücel stated that the main opposition party, the CHP, is also one of the primary targets of this process.
"POLITICAL ENGINEERING IS BEING CONDUCTED THROUGH KILIÇDAROĞLU"
Drawing attention to recent developments within the Republican People's Party, Yücel alleged that political engineering is being carried out through former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu with the aim of neutralizing the party.
Yücel argued that the goal in this process is to weaken the CHP's opposition power and to incorporate the party into the aforementioned transformation project.
Stating that the picture Turkey is facing cannot be evaluated merely as an intra-party debate, Yücel said that what is happening should be addressed in terms of the state's structure, the fundamental characteristics of the Republic, and social integrity.
