Hürriyet columnist Abdulkadir Selvi asked in his column today, "Is this a new resolution process?"
'THE TWO LEADERS DEVELOPED AN INITIATIVE'
Stating that "When strong messages came from the two leaders of the People's Alliance, Erdoğan and Bahçeli, an expectation suddenly emerged in Ankara as to whether a new resolution process is beginning," Selvi added, "I say this in light of the experiences during the resolution process; a similar version of the old resolution process will not happen. Because the PKK and its political extensions sabotaged the resolution process."
Asking "So how should we read the new situation?", Selvi pointed out that the process has not been discussed in the relevant boards of the MHP and AKP, saying, "The two leaders developed an initiative for the survival of Turkey. From here on, it is necessary to see what the DEM Party will do. That is why I say it is necessary to wait for this matter to mature a bit. Early comments would not be accurate."
