CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli greeted each other at the reception held as part of the opening of the new legislative year of the TBMM.
"DON'T BE UPSET"
MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli said to CHP Chairman Özel, "I hope we don't hurt each other. Don't be upset! Sometimes there are things we have to say politically. It is the necessity of politics." Özel responded to Bahçeli's words by saying, "Everyone says what they believe to be true. The important thing is not to show a lack of respect and affection."
Bahçeli had addressed Özgür Özel at his party's group meeting, stating, "Your claims are as rotten as you are; the wet wood you step on, the minibus with flat tires you ride, and the acrobatics of slander you are a prisoner of will not take you anywhere."
