A new development has occurred in another case involving Dilan Polat and Engin Polat, a couple who frequently made headlines with their luxurious lifestyle and were arrested following various investigations launched after the source of their income became a subject of curiosity.

The investigation conducted by the Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the shooting of the beauty center owned by Banu Parlak, located in Bahçeşehir 1st Section Doğa Park, by suspects on motorcycles on October 1 between 02:00 and 04:30, has been completed.

A prison sentence of up to 8 years each has been requested for Dilan Polat, her husband Engin Polat, and Sezgin Polat on charges of "armed threat by more than one person" and "property damage" on the grounds that they were the instigators of the armed attack.

According to the report by Huzeyfe Atıcı from the Sabah newspaper, the indictment also stated that the perpetrator of the armed attack was the Daltonlar Gang, led by Barış Boyun, Beratcan Gökdemir, and Batın Can Gökdemir.

ALLEGATIONS IN THE INDICTMENT

In the indictment prepared by the Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the video in which Dilan Polat threatened Parlak was included.

It was noted that shortly after the threat video, with the joint decision of Sezgin, Engin, and Dilan Polat, Engin Polat used his connections in Georgia to contact Beratcan and his brother Batın Can Gökdemir, who are among the fugitive leaders of the criminal organization known in the public as the "Daltonlar Gang," to organize an armed attack on Parlak's workplace for the purpose of intimidation.

It was stated that the suspects carried out 2 separate armed attacks on Parlak's workplace in the early hours of October 1 in line with the instructions, that approximately 45 thousand Turkish Liras of material damage was caused by the attack, that 5 bullet holes were found in the window of the workplace, and that a total of 5 empty 9 mm caliber shell casings were seized on the road in front of the workplace.

"I AM FILING A COMPLAINT BECAUSE THE POLAT FAMILY WANTED TO HAVE ME KILLED"

In the complaint petition of Banu Parlak included in the indictment, she stated: "Dilan Polat was my former friend. After I established a company operating in the same sector, Dilan Polat and Engin Polat began to harbor hostility toward me. The legal processes that started due to this hostility have concluded. However, due to some confessions and reports recently announced to the public, I understand that Engin and Dilan Polat are trying to settle scores with me outside legal boundaries and want to have me killed. In a video reflected in the press, a person named Halil İbrahim Kalkan announced that he was subjected to an armed attack by a person instigated by Engin, Dilan Polat, and Gürsel Yılmaz, and that they asked him to shoot me and Seyhan Soylu, but he refused. I am filing a complaint against the Polat family because they wanted to have me killed. After the first armed attack on my workplace, I learned that my workplace was shot at again after I posted on my social media account that 'I am heading to my workplace.' I made posts stating that I was worried about my life safety.

I think Dilan herself spread the news regarding the statement. On September 30, around 21:30, Dilan Polat called me and said, 'They took my sister Sıla inside. They will take Engin and me too, look, don't do this, you spread those images.' About 5 hours after the call, my workplace was shot at. Dilan was holding me responsible for her sister Sıla being taken into custody. In one of her last posts, she kissed bread and said, 'I won't let you eat bread.'"

"SHE WAS NOT THE TARGET"

The statements of Engin Polat, Dilan Polat, and Sezgin Polat were also reflected in the indictment. Dilan Polat added that she did not accept the accusations, stating that "the target was not Banu Parlak" in the threat video.

ARREST WARRANT ISSUED

In the indictment, it was requested that Barış Boyun, Beratcan, and Batin Can Gökdemir be sentenced to a total of 8 years and 4 months to 23 years in prison each for the crimes of "establishing an organization for the purpose of committing armed crimes," "armed threat by more than one person," "property damage," and "carrying an unlicensed weapon." It was also requested that the other 5 defendants be punished with varying sentences for various crimes.
