Yarkadaş spoke as follows in his statement:
''I am keeping the promise I made to the public. As of today, I am answering the question that Turkey is curious about from the screens of TV100.
As of 23:49, as I promised, and due to my character, I am quitting active journalism. I informed the Editor-in-Chief of TV100 of this decision today. We had a long conversation. Then our News Coordinator and our News Manager came. I conveyed my decision to them and stated that I would no longer practice active journalism and would no longer write news. We are people of character.''
