Bayrampaşa Municipality operation: New development regarding Hasan Mutlu, who was taken into custody
48 people detained in a corruption investigation into the CHP-run Bayrampaşa Municipality have been sent to the courthouse. Among those in custody is Mayor Hasan Mutlu.

In the investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the Bayrampaşa Municipality, 48 people, including Mayor Hasan Mutlu and his deputies, were taken into custody on Saturday morning.
The accusations against the suspects in the investigation file include extortion, bribery, aggravated fraud, and bid-rigging.
48 PEOPLE AT THE COURTHOUSE
The 48 people detained as part of the operation were referred to the Istanbul Çağlayan Courthouse this morning. It was learned that the questioning of Mayor Mutlu and the other suspects will be conducted at the Organized Crime Investigation Bureau.
IMPRISONED CHP MAYORS
With the operation launched against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality on March 19, numerous individuals were detained, and Ekrem İmamoğlu also provided testimony within this scope.
So far, 11 mayors have been arrested in the investigations in Istanbul. In addition to this, operations were also carried out in Adana, Adıyaman, and Antalya.
As a result of the processes initiated regarding corruption allegations, a total of 15 mayors are currently imprisoned across Turkey.
