BBP Chairman Destici's harsh words for Ahmet Türk: He is committing treason

BBP Chairman Mustafa Destici attended his party's 12th Ordinary Provincial Congress in Sakarya. The congress, held at the Serdivan Municipality Congress Center, began with a recitation of the Quran, followed by a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem.

In the congress, the incumbent provincial chairman, Turan Yıldırım, who was the sole candidate, was re-elected as chairman.

Speaking before the congress, BBP Chairman Mustafa Destici made assessments regarding the low level of minimum wage and retirement pensions, peer bullying, and the involvement of children under 18 in crime.

"You should first take a step for the homeland"

Destici said, "In recent days, a team from Diyarbakır promoted to the Super League; they are welcome, as long as they accept the existence of the state and respect the red flag with the crescent and star. It is Turkey's team, and Diyarbakır is a province of Turkey, but a pathetic person has come out—a supposed veteran to whom the state has given everything. It gave him property, wealth, money, and status; he goes to the match and, upon leaving, says, 'A team from the Kurdistan region has promoted to the Super League.'

This is actually insolence; he is committing treason. We said 'shut up,' and we will continue to say it. The name of this state is the Republic of Turkey, and the name of this nation is the Turkish nation. They hold Newroz celebrations, tens of thousands of people attend, and not one person has a Turkish flag in their hand; they hold demonstrations for a team, and not one person has a Turkish flag in their hand.

Which state are you citizens of, you group of traitors? Which nation are you members of? Why do you refrain from holding this red flag with the crescent and star in your hands? The PKK's political extension, the DEM Party, is reportedly going to hold a 'Take a step for peace' march in many provinces and districts tomorrow; you should first take a step for the homeland, hold that march with Turkish flags, and then expect a step from the state, the parliament, and us.

As long as you do not take a Turkish flag in your hand, there will be neither brotherhood, nor peace, nor friendship. Whoever does not take a Turkish flag in their hand cannot be a part of this nation. So we say; whichever flag you take in your hand, whichever flag you long for, go and live there. If we show tolerance to these people, they will demand much more tomorrow than what they are demanding today; God forbid, this could lead to division. Those who want to divide Turkey have been using them as pawns for 40 years, and they continue to act as pawns today," he said.

"One of the most important issues is peer bullying"

Chairman Destici said, "One of the most important issues is peer bullying and the gangs and their ringleaders who exploit our children under 18 and use them to commit crimes. A few days ago, in Büyükçekmece, Istanbul, a 15-year-old child of ours was killed by his peers. This is truly a painful and grave situation.

Legal regulations have been made in parliament regarding this, but unfortunately, these regulations have not fully met expectations. What we are primarily talking about are the gangs that sever these children's ties with their families, take them completely under their influence, and make them commit crimes. Two things need to be done regarding this: a law must be passed so that those who commit these crimes, even if they are under 18, should be punished like adults if they are over 14.

More importantly, it is to drain the swamp; therefore, it is necessary to eradicate these gangs. In recent times, both the laws passed by parliament and the joint efforts of the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Justice are taking place before our eyes. Furthermore, there is the issue of betting, and it should never be tolerated," he said.

"The family is the starting point of society, the nation, and the state"

Stating that the minimum wage and retirement pensions should be increased and touching upon the subject of family, Chairman Destici said, "Today, one of our biggest problems is the family, because if there is no family, there is no society; if there is no society, there is no nation; and if there is no nation, there is no state. The family is the starting point of society, the nation, and the state. What has made the Turkish nation strong throughout history is being a family. But they attacked our family with LGBT, and that was not enough; they encouraged extramarital lives. They made people and young people cold toward marriage, and unfortunately, they were successful in this as well. While the number of children per family was over 3, today it has fallen to 1.4. Turkey is no longer growing in population; it is declining. This means a nation is heading toward extinction," he said.
