Great Unity Party (BBP) Chairman Mustafa Destici paid a courtesy visit to IYI Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu.

Speaking after the meeting, which was held behind closed doors at the IYI Party Headquarters, Destici stated that the IYI Party congress took place in a spirit of democratic celebration and with great maturity.

''WE SERVED TOGETHER IN THE SAME HEARTH''

Extending his congratulations for the congress, which was held in a spirit of unity and solidarity, Destici said:

"Our most important and primary congratulations go to the Chairman; the name Müsavat Dervişoğlu is a valuable name for us. We have a friendship and camaraderie spanning 40 years. We served together in the same hearth. From that day to this, our friendship and camaraderie have continued. Regarding Turkey's issues, we have always exchanged views and consulted during our time in Parliament and at various other points. I first of all congratulate him, may it be auspicious. I wholeheartedly believe that he will perform this duty worthily with his knowledge, background, and experience, and I wish him success."

Congratulating the board members elected to office at the congress, Destici expressed his best wishes to the IYI Party community, Turkey, and the Turkish nation.

Noting that his meeting with Dervişoğlu went very well and that old memories were reminisced, Destici stated that they consulted on other issues, including the new constitution issue on Turkey's agenda, and that they would continue their discussions later.

Touching upon the fact that former IYI Party Chairman Meral Akşener waged a great political struggle for 7 years, Destici thanked Akşener for her services to Turkish politics and wished her health, happiness, and success in her future life.

''I CAN SAY IT WAS A VERY PRODUCTIVE MEETING''

In his speech, Dervişoğlu also conveyed his thanks for the visit by BBP Chairman Destici and the accompanying delegation.

Stating that Turkey's issues were mutually negotiated during the visit, Dervişoğlu noted the following:

"I can say that it was a very productive meeting. I hereby announce to the public that our mutual discussions will continue regarding taking correct and important steps concerning the future of our nation, and that we will continue to exchange ideas."
