In the debate that began after a customer shared a 4,000 TL restaurant bill on social media in Kadıköy, the harsh tone used by business owner Bedri Usta had drawn significant backlash. Usta, who was criticized for his statements targeting those who critiqued him, has finally apologized.
Bedri Usta used the following expressions in a post on his social media account:
"Greetings to everyone,
The events that have been going on for days do not suit my past or my present. I have never belittled anyone, nor have I made fun of anyone. Throughout my life, I have tried to get somewhere by putting in effort and working, and I am still working. You can also see in my posts that I am someone who loves to help people in need with all my heart, as much as I can.
The reason I shared the person who criticized me on my page was to show that I am transparent. However, the text I wrote there was taken out of the meaning I intended to convey. I sincerely apologize to everyone whose heart was broken or who felt hurt by this situation.
In the process moving forward, I will not make any more posts regarding this topic so that the matter does not drag on any further. I thank everyone for their understanding.
Take care of yourselves."
