MHP Deputy Chairman İsmail Özdemir made a post on his social media account claiming that the perpetrators of the Ateş murder are being hidden and stated, "The lifting of the veil of mystery over a heinous murder is near."

The statement made by Özdemir on his social media account is as follows:

"The move to divide the MHP in 1991 when it had entered parliament with 19 deputies and an alliance and was about to form a parliamentary group.
