Sözcü columnist Can Coşkun wrote that he learned from a former AKP deputy that President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has commissioned polls on the possibility of the DEM Party joining the People's Alliance and the tendency of its voters to cast ballots for him.

"I heard from a former AK Party deputy that President Erdoğan has commissioned research on two issues," said Coşkun, who relayed the claim as follows:

"1- A poll on the possibility of the DEM Party joining the People's Alliance.

2- A measurement of the tendency of DEM Party voters to vote for President Erdoğan.

I also asked my source at the Presidential Complex, whose information on both short and long-term behind-the-scenes developments has been confirmed in the past.

My source confirmed that the first measurement is current, while stating they had no information regarding the second.

What policies Erdoğan might want to build based on these results is a subject for another article."
