Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli’s call, which initiated the new resolution process, and the subsequent call for disarmament made by PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan on February 27, continue to remain on the agenda.

Bahçeli, who was resting following heart valve surgery, engaged in intense telephone traffic following the recent developments. Bahçeli, who spoke with former HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş, who is imprisoned in Edirne, conveyed his get-well wishes to Demirtaş due to his wife's illness. During this process, Bahçeli also called Sırrı Süreyya Önder, Pervin Buldan, Ahmet Türk, Yılmaz Erdoğan, and Sezgin Tanrıkulu.
