Social media personality Bekir Aslan, known to the public as 'Basel', who was detained and arrested following a forum organized by the Workers' Party of Turkey in Gülhane Park, has been released by court order.
In a statement made through his lawyers, Aslan had previously stated that the reason for his arrest was his sharing of a photograph of a DEV-GENZ banner displayed during protests and his retweeting of a song by Grup Yorum.
