Beşiktaş piers closed! Ferry services cancelled

The Istanbul Governor's Office has taken extensive security measures ahead of the "Pride March" planned for Sunday, June 29, 2025. In line with the decision, the Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa and the historic Beşiktaş piers were closed as of 10:00 AM until further notice.

CANCELLATIONS AND ROUTE CHANGES IN FERRY SERVICES

Following the Governor's Office's directive, Şehir Hatları A.Ş. has implemented service cancellations and route changes on many lines departing from or stopping at Beşiktaş. The statement noted that updated information would be provided through official channels depending on developments.

The cancelled ferry lines are as follows:

Beşiktaş–Eyüpsultan Line

Beşiktaş–Kadıköy Line (all services after 09:15)

Beşiktaş–Adalar Line (all services after 10:00)

The lines that will not stop at Beşiktaş are listed as follows:

Bosphorus Line (Round trip) – after 08:20

Eminönü–Rumelikavağı Line – after 09:00

Long Bosphorus Tour

Ortaköy–Beşiktaş–Eminönü Line

Çengelköy–Kuzguncuk–Beşiktaş–Kabataş Line

GOVERNOR GÜL: "IT WILL NOT BE PERMITTED, NECESSARY ACTION WILL BE TAKEN"

In a statement regarding the march on June 28, Istanbul Governor Davut Gül emphasized the Governor's Office's determination, stating, "The Pride March will not be tolerated, and the necessary action will be taken by the relevant units."

These measures taken at key points of public transportation in Istanbul demonstrate that security units are prepared against potential attempts regarding the march. Authorities have warned citizens to follow the guidance provided and to use alternative routes.
