Beşiktaş issues statement regarding players named in betting investigation: 'We have full faith'

The Turkish Football Federation has announced the names of 1,024 players found to have engaged in betting as part of an investigation into professional leagues and has referred these individuals to the Professional Football Discipline Committee (PFDK). Beşiktaş Club shared a statement on its social media account regarding the matter, which included the following remarks:
"The process regarding the referral of two of our players to the Professional Football Discipline Committee as part of the betting investigation conducted by the Turkish Football Federation is being closely monitored by us.
It is essential that the process regarding this sensitive situation, which closely concerns the personal rights of our players, their families, and the community they belong to, be conducted with great care, keeping in mind the presumption of innocence, which is a universal legal norm. We have full faith that both of our players are innocent.
We will immediately initiate proceedings before the TFF.
Our aforementioned players will also apply to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office tomorrow morning to file their legal objections. As Beşiktaş JK, we would like to inform the public that we are following the matter and are in contact with the Turkish Football Federation," the statement read.
