Betting earthquake grows: Who is the club president betting in the Super Lig?

MHP Kayseri Deputy Baki Ersoy, who has been on the agenda with his statements regarding betting and match-fixing allegations in football, has issued a call to both the TFF and the Ministry of Youth and Sports in his latest remarks. Ersoy claimed that a club president serving in the Super Lig has placed bets worth millions of liras and stated that he would follow the process closely.

"IF A PENALTY WAS GIVEN FOR A 9.75 TL COUPON..."

Citing previously penalized football players as examples in his statements, Ersoy reminded that legal action was taken against players found to have placed a 9.75 TL coupon on the state's official betting site.

Ersoy stated, "If you have applied the regulations to a football player who placed a 9.75 TL coupon on the state's official betting site using their national ID number within a season, you must also take the necessary actions against the 33 managers and their associated clubs that we have been mentioning for 3 months for betting against their own teams."

Claiming that a club president serving in the Super Lig has placed bets between 60 and 70 million TL, Ersoy said, "Especially if you penalized the players who made 9.75 TL coupons without waiting for judicial processes, the club president who placed 60-70 million in bets must also be penalized in accordance with the regulations."

"THE NATIONAL ID NUMBERS OF 33 MANAGERS WERE NOT SENT TO THE TFF"

Touching upon the betting and match-fixing investigation in football conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Ersoy said that the information regarding the 33 mentioned managers had not been forwarded to the Turkish Football Federation.

Sharing the information he received from the TFF management, Ersoy used the following expressions:

"The Ministry has still not sent the Turkish ID numbers of the 33 executives who bet against their clubs to the TFF. Under Law No. 7405, the records of these executives are kept by the Ministry of Youth and Sports."

"IT WILL BE SHARED WITH THE TFF TOMORROW"

Stating that there has been a new development in the process, Ersoy said he was informed that the necessary information would be sent from the ministry to the TFF.

Ersoy stated, "A response just came in, and it was stated that the Turkish ID numbers will be shared with the TFF tomorrow. The TFF will first receive this information and then send it to the General Directorate of Spor Toto. After that, the results of the inquiry will arrive. It was stated that the response to the letter we have been waiting for for two months is only now arriving."

The MHP deputy also called on Osman Aşkın Bak, urging him to accelerate the process.

KASIMPAŞA AND EYÜPSPOR DETAIL

In his statements, Ersoy also touched upon the TMSF (Savings Deposit Insurance Fund) process regarding Kasımpaşa and Eyüpspor, stating that this issue is proceeding separately.

Ersoy said, "The TMSF process for Kasımpaşa and Eyüpspor is proceeding separately. We intend to apply to the necessary authorities tomorrow regarding this matter as well, due to unfair competition, and expect to achieve results."
