Economist Bilge Yılmaz shared his assessments on his social media account regarding the 10 months that have passed since Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek took office.

Stating that significant steps could have been taken during this time and that several measures could have been implemented to put the economy on the right track, Yılmaz said that these have not been achieved to date.

Yılmaz stated that bitter prescriptions await the citizens and made the following statement:

"It has been over 10 months since Mehmet Şimşek took office, and new measures to be taken and new bitter prescriptions to be announced are still expected.

10 months is not a short time. With the right policies and the right team, we could have started to see results. This has not happened so far, and it will not happen from now on.

As long as the AKP remains in power, the bitter prescriptions will never end, and people will continue to become poorer.

Unfortunately, we were proven right in what we said when Mehmet Şimşek took office. There is nothing being done other than trying to save the day and changing some of his predecessor's irrational practices."
