In the Urfa Organized Industrial Zone (OSB), pressure continues against workers and their unions who have been resisting at Özak Tekstil since November 27 against forced union changes and layoffs.
REFERRED TO COURT
According to a post on the X social media account of the United Textile, Weaving and Leather Workers' Union (BİRTEK-SEN), BİRTEK-SEN General President Mehmet Türkmen, who was detained on December 11, was referred to court with a request for his arrest.
Three union executives and four Özak Tekstil workers who were detained along with Türkmen were released this evening under judicial control conditions.

Making a statement on the matter, Türkmen said:
"No matter what you do, we will win by resisting! We will resist all of you! Özak workers will not bow down to this system of slavery and the yellow union order that acts as a henchman for the bosses! Özak workers will win! The working class will win!"
