Black market investigation into Beşiktaş-Fenerbahçe match: 15 people detained

An operation was carried out in 8 provinces as part of an investigation into suspected black market ticket sales for the Beşiktaş-Fenerbahçe derby. While the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office detained 15 people during the investigation, it was alleged that tickets were collected illicitly.

An operation was conducted in 8 provinces within the scope of an investigation launched into allegations of black market ticket sales for the Beşiktaş-Fenerbahçe match. 15 suspects were detained in the operation.

It was determined that 1,900 tickets for the Fenerbahçe stands for the Beşiktaş-Fenerbahçe match played at TÜPRAŞ Stadium on November 2, 2025, were put on sale on October 31 at 10:00. It was found that 632 of the tickets were sold out the moment they were opened for sale, while approximately 1,300 tickets could not be offered for sale by the system for a long time. It was alleged that the suspects blocked the Passolig system during the ticket sale process and purchased the remaining tickets in bulk. Investigations indicated that some of the tickets in question were offered for sale around the stadium before the match, while others were sold on websites and social media platforms such as Telegram, WhatsApp, and X.

''SUSPECTS WERE IN CONTACT WITH EACH OTHER''

It was determined that the suspects had numerous money transfers in their bank account activities with descriptions such as 'Match', 'Transfer', 'Stand', 'Ticket', 'GS', 'FB', 'BJK', and 'season ticket', and that there were unusual money inflows and outflows in some accounts. Furthermore, it was stated that the suspects were in contact with each other before the match.

''1-YEAR BAN FROM ATTENDING SPORTS EVENTS''

Simultaneous operations were carried out at the addresses of 15 suspects in 8 provinces within the scope of the investigation. Detention orders were issued for the suspects on charges of 'obstructing the operation of an information system' and 'selling tickets above their value'. While a 1-year ban from attending sports events was imposed on the suspects, the investigation is ongoing.
