Black smoke covers the sky in fire at Ankara's Scrapyard Site
A fire broke out in an area containing waste materials at the Scrapyard Site in the Organized Industrial Zone in Ankara's Yenimahalle district. As black smoke covers the sky, efforts to extinguish the fire are ongoing.

A fire has broken out in the Ivedik Organized Industrial Zone located in Ankara's Yenimahalle district.
It was learned that the fire started due to the uncontrolled burning of waste in the Scrapyard Site section of the industrial zone. The fire grew rapidly after truck tires in the area where the waste was located caught fire.
The fire, which spread quickly in the area containing a large amount of flammable materials, jumped to three factories. Firefighting teams dispatched to the scene from all districts of Ankara are working to bring the fire under control. Additionally, the flames are being intervened from the air with helicopters. On the other hand, it was learned that the leave of all firefighting personnel has been canceled and they have been called to duty.
