The lifeless body of 6-year-old Şirin Elmas Hanilçi, who had been missing for two days in Şişli, was found in a cemetery; a murder suspect has been taken into custody.

A search operation was conducted for 6-year-old Şirin Elmas Hanilçi, who had not been heard from since October 31 in the Feriköy neighborhood of Istanbul's Şişli district, and for whom her family had filed a missing person report.
Following an examination of security camera footage in the area, the girl's lifeless body was discovered in Feriköy Cemetery.
Teams from the Istanbul Police Department conducted a detailed investigation in the area where 6-year-old Şirin's body was found.
The reviewed camera footage revealed that Şirin was seen with a man and disappeared near the cemetery. The suspect, identified from the footage as a paper collector, has been taken into custody.

According to Sabah, although the suspect initially claimed in his first statement that he had no involvement in the incident, he allegedly confessed to the murder once the camera footage emerged. He stated that he strangled Şirin to death and then threw her into a pit in the Feriköy cemetery.
