Israeli warplanes bombed areas surrounding Al-Quds Hospital in the blockaded Gaza Strip, where approximately 12,000 people have taken shelter, throughout the night.

According to information reported by the Palestinian news agency WAFA from its sources in the region at the start of the 24th day of the war, Israeli warplanes subjected structures around Al-Quds Hospital to intense bombardment throughout the night.

The 12,000 people who had taken shelter at the Palestine Red Crescent Society's Al-Quds Hospital, believing it to be safe, experienced difficult moments during the bombing.

In a statement, the Palestine Red Crescent Society announced that Israeli authorities had threatened to bomb Al-Quds Hospital and demanded its immediate evacuation.

The statement noted that Israeli military forces, which demanded that medical staff and civilians sheltering at Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza's Tel al-Hawa neighborhood leave the facility, deliberately subjected the hospital's surroundings to bombardment, causing damage to some sections. It was emphasized that the medical staff at the hospital would not abandon their duties.

The statement recorded that 12,000 people had taken shelter at Al-Quds Hospital on the grounds that it was safe, and that in addition to them, approximately 800 people, including patients and the wounded, were receiving treatment at the hospital.
