Bombshell claim regarding the future of Yavaş after meeting with Erdoğan! A date has even been set

Following the absolute nullity crisis within the CHP and the establishment of the YENİ Party, the path that Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) Mayor Mansur Yavaş, who remained in the CHP, will take has become one of the most curious topics on the political agenda.

While Yavaş did not attend the reception held for the 103rd anniversary of the CHP's founding, a critical development took place on the same day.

Yavaş, who went to the Presidential Palace, held a meeting with AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Yavaş's visit to Erdoğan at a time when many mayors were switching to the AKP has stirred political circles.

YENİ Party leader Özgür Özel stated that he was aware of Yavaş's meeting with Erdoğan, saying, "Mr. Mansur had requested an appointment for certain investments. Mr. Mansur is very sensitive about these matters. He had told me in our last meeting that such a meeting would take place. I have no doubts about Mr. Mansur."

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, regarding Yavaş's absence from the reception, stated, "For us, the participation of citizens is important. Whether one person attends or not is not important. Mr. Mansur's absence did not create any resentment. From our perspective, his position is the Mayor of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality."

ABB Mayor Yavaş, in a statement on his social media account regarding his meeting with Erdoğan, said, "We were received by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at Beştepe. During the reception, we presented information to the President about our ongoing and planned projects, primarily the metro investments that will make significant contributions to our Ankara's transportation infrastructure. We conveyed our gratitude for their support and contributions to the investments aimed at our city and for their will regarding the hosting of the NATO Summit in Ankara. We also shared our evaluations regarding the work we are carrying out as the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality and the investments we plan to implement in the coming period. I thank the President for his kind reception and the close interest he has shown in our Ankara."

Following this meeting, which stirred political circles, journalist Sinan Burhan, known for his proximity to the government, made striking claims about Mansur Yavaş.

Conveying information he obtained from AKP sources, Burhan stated that the claims that Yavaş would join the AKP were not true and said the following:

"I spoke with AK Party sources. Let me give you a clear answer. As of now, Mansur Yavaş is not joining the AK Party. There is no such demand. There is no such expectation. Mansur Yavaş is not joining the New Party either. Mansur Yavaş will not remain in the CHP."

“HE WILL RESIGN FROM THE CHP, HE WILL REMAIN INDEPENDENT”

Claiming that Yavaş will resign from the CHP, Burhan said, "He will most likely resign from the CHP. It could be in September, or it could be later. Let me share with you the information I received from my sources. Mansur Yavaş is not joining the AK Party right now. He is not joining the New Party. He is also resigning from the CHP. This is the information I received. Mansur Yavaş will remain independent."

Burhan continued his claims about Yavaş as follows:

“In the coming days, Mansur Yavaş may make a call for purification directed at the New Party and Ekrem İmamoğlu.

Mr. Mansur does not evaluate the allegations of corruption and irregularities in municipalities solely as a political result.

He states that the possibility of such corruption occurring should also be taken seriously.”
