Journalist Metin Cihan, who shared WhatsApp correspondence from TGRT Haber on his social media account, revealed the situation that news channels have fallen into.
Pointing to the reactions of Aslıhan Ören, the wife of the news channel's owner, regarding the KJ (Character Generator - the text that appears at the bottom of the screen while a news report is airing) used for a story, Cihan shared the following lines:
What do you expect from a news channel? Isn't it to report the truth?

For example, the number of child laborers is increasing, and TGRT reports on it. Up to this point, it's normal.
But the boss('s wife) immediately gets furious. She scolds the journalists. She has set a rule: No negative things are to be written.
