Boycott call for Acun Ilıcalı from the İsmailağa Community: 'He cannot utter a single word against the oppression'

The İsmailağa Community has called for a boycott of Acun Ilıcalı and his TV8 channel. The reasons cited were Ilıcalı's silence regarding events in Gaza and the airing of advertisements for pro-Israel companies on his television channel.

The İsmailağa Community has targeted Acun Ilıcalı, alleging that he has remained silent regarding Israel's attacks on civilians in Gaza and that he has aired advertisements for pro-Israel companies on his TV8 channel.

Erdem Özveren, a prominent figure of the community on social media and leader of the group known as Müdafa-i İslam, has called for a boycott of TV8.

"HE CANNOT UTTER A SINGLE WORD AGAINST THE OPPRESSION"

In a post featuring a video of Somer Sivrioğlu, one of the judges on the "MasterChef" program aired on the channel, advertising a cleaning brand, Özveren stated the following:

"Acun Ilıcalı, who has gone from being a reporter to a media mogul and even buying football clubs in England, somehow cannot utter a single word against the oppression while so many babies and children are being slaughtered! The same Acun's channel is advertising boycotted brands."

Özveren concluded his post with the hashtag "#Tv8Boykot".


In another post, Özveren also reacted to Mehmet Yalçınkaya, another judge on the same program, advertising a potato chip brand on TV8 that he claimed was an Israeli product.

"ACUN ILICALI, WHO HAS NO SUPPORT FOR PALESTINE, SHOULD BE BOYCOTTED"

In this post, Özveren expressed his call for a boycott of TV8 by saying, "While people on social media have been trying for days to boycott the products of genocidal Israel, Acun Ilıcalı's channel TV8 is loudly promoting the occupying Israeli product Doritos! Acun Ilıcalı, who has yet to show any support for Palestine, and TV8 should be boycotted!"
