Bread price hike in İzmir: Weight decreased, price increased
The İzmir Chamber of Commerce (İZTO) Assembly announced that a decision to increase bread prices in İzmir was made during its regular June meeting.

With the decision taken at the assembly meeting, the weight of bread was reduced from 220 grams to 200 grams, and its price was increased from 9 TL to 10 TL. With this new regulation, bakeries that are members of the İZTO in İzmir will begin selling 200-gram bread for 10 TL starting July 1.
