IBB Kültür A.Ş. Deputy General Manager Erhan Karaal was abducted by unidentified individuals who forced him into a vehicle near his home in Istanbul's Maltepe district on June 17.
Following the incident, a comprehensive investigation was launched by the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. As part of the efforts regarding the kidnapping, which is alleged to have been carried out for ransom, a total of 12 people, including 2 women, were detained.
Of the suspects referred to the courthouse as part of the investigation, 6 were arrested. Judicial control measures were applied to the other 6 suspects.
