Breaking News: 2nd Patriot system to be deployed to Incirlik Air Base
A new Patriot air defense system has been deployed in Adana to strengthen the security of Turkey's airspace.

The Ministry of National Defense announced that in addition to the existing Spanish Patriot battery in Adana, a second Patriot system assigned by the Allied Air Command located in Ramstein, Germany, has been deployed to the region.
In the information provided by the Ministry, it was stated that a ballistic munition fired from Iran on March 13, which violated Turkish airspace, was neutralized by NATO air and missile defense units stationed in the Eastern Mediterranean. Regarding the incident, the following statement was made: "Contacts are being maintained with the relevant country to clarify all aspects of the incident, all necessary measures are being taken with determination against any threat to our national security, and developments in our region are being followed closely and carefully."
The Ministry also emphasized that in addition to the domestic measures taken for the security of the airspace and citizens, another system has been put into operation in addition to the Spanish Patriot defense system currently operating in Adana.
